The Renewable and Sustainable Energy Technology, ReSet group is focused on the research and development of innovative solutions to decarbonize energy conversion and industrial processes. We conduct targeted enabling research that supports the development of new technology, and improving the efficiency of existing ones. We work across the technology readiness levels, TRLs, from concepts to commercially ready technologies.

ACWA Power and KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology) Innovation Challenge, Saudi Arabia Crowns a Champion: Ahmed Azmeer.

Ahmed's innovative concept – a 3D-printed concentrated solar receiver for industrial gas heating – impressed the judges with its potential to revolutionize the sector. ACWA Power is excited to explore further development in collaboration with Ahmed, fostering a collaborative ecosystem for impactful change. The project, titled “3D printed solar receiver for producing industrial heat,” supervised by Professor Bassam Dally aims to decarbonize industry by generating renewable process heat.
